We will be considering additional funding requests for and discussing potential legacy projects. Taylor and I had a meeting at the Sugar Shack on Wednesday.  Here's a brief summary of what was discussed.

1 -- Elsabe heard back from the Cataraqui Conservation Authority.  The boardwalk will NOT be rebuilt, but there are other financial needs we could help with.
2 -- If we DO take on a large project, Don suggested payments in installments, ie: four installments of $5K for a $20K project.
3 -- We are still waiting to hear back from Lionhearts about which Wednesday will work best for food packing.  Kelly at Lionhearts is keen to have us, but will not know until November which week is best.   (Lionhearts has been informed that grants are available for bigger requests.)
4 -- A couple of the volunteer opportunities were touched on, including "Roots of Empathy" (brought forward by Elsabe at a previous meeting) and "Brushamania", a dental hygiene project being run by the Cataraqui-Kingston club.
5 -- I have reached out to the Community Service chairs at all the local clubs and have heard back from 2.  I will wait another week, then will arrange a Zoom meeting with those interested in coordinating our activities to maximize impact.
6 -- I will reach out to Anne Desgagnes about advertising the grant application on Facebook.
7 -- I will email Elizabeth Bailey from Kingston 4 Paws about our new grant application system.

Let's plan on having a Community Services meeting on Nov 27th at 5pm, prior to the club assembly.  Unfortunately, none of the other Wednesdays between now and then will work, but if anyone has a pressing need to meet prior to that, please let me know.
