Ally Buck joined the ShelterBox Canada Team in May of 2023 as the Rotary and Community Fundraising Coordinator. She is proud to be of mixed Mi'kmaq (pronounced Mig Maw) First Nations and settler heritage. She grew up in rural Nova Scotia, and after attending college in Nova Scotia for Social Services and Community Development, she attended Queen's University where she earned her degree in Global Development Studies. She is a member of the Rotaract Club of Kingston.
She has just returned from the ShelterBox HQ in the UK where Rotary founded ShelterBox, having completed their We Are ShelterBox mock deployment training and attended their International Fundraising Conference, meeting with ShelterBox supporters and Rotarians from across the globe. She is on the ShelterBox planning committee for the RI Convention in Calgary 2025, and will be attending the conference as well.
She will present an update of ShelterBox Canada's disaster relief activities at home and abroad.
